Yes, there is paperwork that will need to be completed before you arrive in Corfu in order for us to complete all the applications and necessary legalities for your marriage. Don’t worry it is all quite straight forward and we will guide you step by step throughout the whole process. Once you are here there will be some paperwork for you to sign, but apart from that you will be free to relax and enjoy your holiday.
Ideally you should be here for two weeks. The first week will be your compulsory residency period during which we will have to visit the local authorities to complete some paperwork and your ceremony will take place during the second week of your stay.
You can only be married in a Greek Church if you are already baptised Greek Orthadox. Civil ceremonies are not allowed to take place within Greek religious Grounds.
By law, the legalities of your ceremony and the registration of your marriage must take place in the Local Town Hall along with 2 witnesses. As most couples have a vision of their dream wedding on a quiet sandy beach or on a secluded hillside we will arrange for a ceremony to be held in your chosen location after all the necessary legalities have been completed at the local town hall.
It is impossible to put a fixed price on any wedding as we take great pride in creating the perfect package for every couple, this meaning that no two weddings are ever the same. Once we have had a consultation and get a better idea of exactly what each couple has in mind then we will work together to create the perfect wedding within your budget and expectations.
Yes, there must be 2 witnesses present who will need to sign some documents on the day. We can act as witnesses on your behalf if needed.
